The Triumph Stag MKII was equipped with the soft top without side windows and double stripes on the side of the car. An MKII is generally equipped with 5-spoke alloy wheels and may have green tinted windows. This was optional from the factory and standard from 1976. The front seats have headrests, which were missing on the MKI.
The most characteristic of the MKII are the "upright" hands for the fuel gauge, temperature gauge and voltmeter and the chrome edge around the gauges. MKI has “hanging” hands and black edges. The MKII was supplied with a hardtop from the factory, but this was still an option with the MKI.
The Triumph Stag was designed by the famous Italian top designer Michelotti. The Stag was invented in the years when safety became a hot topic in the US and sporty open cars were considered unsafe. That is why the Triumph Stag received a special roll bar (T-bar). The hood construction and storage space of the Triumph Stag is inspired by the Mercedes SL solution, where the hood folds down into a special compartment that is closed with a hard cover.
This beautiful Triumph Stag is in very good condition and the car drives and shifts very good! The car was painted a beautiful dark red metallic a few years ago, under the hood you can see that the car was originally brown. The dark red bodywork combines beautifully with a dark beige artificial leather interior and black carpet.
The four-speed manual transmission shifts precisely and is equipped with overdrive. The car is also equipped with power steering, power brakes and electronic ignition. The original wheels were restored three years ago to top condition and are beautiful!
