The Peugeot 403 was produced from 1955 to 1966. Finally, the Peugeot 403 Familiale and Commerciale (Break) had a wheelbase extended by 240 mm. The Familiale had three rows of seats, fully folding front seats and was described as a 7-8 person car. The Commerciale had the normal layout for a station wagon. Both models had a rigid rear axle, connected to an aluminum differential.
This 403 is from 1959, the year that the windshield washers were moved to the hood and the original half horn ring was replaced by a full ring. Other nice details about this car are the O.L.D. roof rack, original tow bar, original Blaupunkt radio with speaker, original fire extinguisher, double interior mirror and original tax stickers on the windshield. This dark blue 403 was imported into the Netherlands from France by the current owner in 2019.
