The 5 GT Turbo was launched in 1985, bringing some excitement to the otherwise functional and workmanlike second-generation Renault 5 range. The brand new 5 might have been little more than an ’80s remix of the 1970s original, but its Marcello Gandini lines looked good, even when adorned with the Turbo’s wide-grilled bumpers, thick arch extensions and ever-so-French yellow front fog lights.

“As it came from the factory” is the closest thing to the condition of this Renault R5 GT Turbo. Nobody believes the mileage on this car. From every standpoint it presents itself as it came out of the factory. Wherever you look, interior, engine compartment, underbody, suspension: everything is in absolutely original and in immaculate condition. In 2021 new Michelin MXV tires in the original dimension of 195/55 R13 where fitted. The first registration took place in Italy.
An unique opportunity and now available for purchase by someone who appreciates and understands that the condition of an original untouched car is impossible to match by any restoration.
